The guy is a professional diving instructor in Kovalam and he met the girl of his dreams when she was on a visit to India and wanted to dive, this happened 7 months back. After that she went back to her home and returned a month ago when the guy proposed to her underwater with a placard saying “Will You Marry Me?” and she said a YES. When the guy suggested getting married underwater the girl agreed in an instant and they even underwent a formal training for 2 days to pull off their marriage successfully.

• There is no special permission required to take wedding vows underwater as it is a scuba diving exercise.
• Before taking the decision of tying the knot underwater make sure you are thoroughly trained as India’s first underwater wedding took an hour and a half to complete all the rituals. That’s a long time!!!
• You can even make a stage and other decorations under water.
• Having placard messages is definitely a unique option.
